For nearly a decade, Amy has provided counseling to children, teens, families, and adults in the Eau Claire area. As a licensed professional counselor, she has extensive training in early childhood and adolescent mental health. She was personally trained by Dr. Byron Norton in Experiential Play Therapy®. Amy has achieved the designation of Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with the Association for Play Therapy. Amy is also trained in Filial Therapy which is a form of family therapy that helps children, parents, and families make positive changes in their interactions leading to greater peace and joy between them.
Amy brings a warm, gentle presence to children, teens, and their families. She enjoys helping children and families work through challenges and also helping parents obtain a better understanding of their children's behaviors.

All of these counseling services are addressed through a Bible-based therapeutic perspective. Amy is a board certified, professional Christian Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors. Amy has experience using a Christian DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) approach to help teens and adults manage their overwhelming emotional distress and gain a healthy balance in life.
